Robb started his fitness journey all the way back in high school (Dighton Rehoboth) when he felt a gravitational pull towards soccer. Having a relatively successful high school career (All State, 4 Year Starter, 2 Year Captain) was supposed to lead into a flourishing college career. That’s not how life works!
After not making the squad at the school that recruited him and a couple of transfers, he graduated from Stonehill College and started working at State Street. Exactly a year to the day after he started there, the opportunity to work with his dad materialized in the form of the family-owned construction company specializing in Healthcare Construction.
At the same time, he started coaching high school and club soccer under one of his mentors. During this time, being able to keep up with high school athletes became increasingly important and, as was the case with a lot of college athletes after graduation, fitness wasn’t exactly first on the to do list.
Slowly, he began moving more in the form of running and then came the P90X home fitness explosion. He fell in love with the grind of lifting weights. As he rounded the big 3-0, he came to the realization that coaching is something that rattled his bones and awakened his soul. Learning all the wrong ways to reach fitness goals lead to him finding kettlebells. Under the tutelage of one of his oldest friends, he began swinging and hasn’t stopped since. This lead to Robb getting his NSCA-CPT and Strongfirst SFG1 certifications. Learning about coaching was now also a passion. He took his first Pain Free Performance Specialist Certification at 212 and met Kerry and Sean. This lead to getting both Functional Movement Screen 1 and 2 certifications. Most recently, Robb has started coaching coaches in the PPSC Functional Kettlebell Certification.
For the past 8 years, Robb has programmed for and coached all types of people - Group Fitness classes, athletes in both in-season and off-season programs, individuals and small groups in ages ranging from 8 thru 80. His passion for coaching keeps getting stronger the more he coaches and learns. He is currently working towards his Precision Nutrition Certification to round out his ability to become an all encompassing coach who can help to change habits and assist all clients reach their fitness goals.
He’s an avid golfer, still plays and coaches soccer and trains like his hair ( if he had any!) was on fire. He’s got a wonderful, supportive wife and two little girls who all live together in Dighton, MA, where it all began.
